A fifteen to twenty minute drive south of Whistler Village, in the gated community of Black Tusk Village, with a private driveway that takes multiple vehicles, a trailer and your sleds.

The parking is the reason to take this house. Room for several vehicles, a trailer and a sled deck on your own driveway, not a shared lot and not a numbered stall. If you have been trying to find somewhere in Whistler that will take a truck, a second car and your sleds without a fight, this is it.

The house itself is a two bedroom, two bathroom home, fully furnished and ready to live in. Three beds are in place with room for a fourth. Hardwood floors through the living room, slate tile in the kitchen and entry, log walls and cedar ceilings throughout, and electric heat. The kitchen has butcher block counters, a stone backsplash, stainless appliances and a live edge breakfast bar. A washer and dryer are in the main bathroom.

Off the living room is an enclosed sunroom wrapped in windows on three sides, with its own dining table and room to sit. It looks out to the garden and the trees, and it is the room that makes this house feel considerably larger than two bedrooms suggests.

Carry on about 500 metres past the house and you reach two small lakes, private to the community. There is a communal house beside them used for events, with washrooms and barbecues, and a playground. The community also has multiple tennis courts and runs its own fire station.

One thing to know before you enquire. There is no bus service to Black Tusk Village. You need a vehicle to live here, for work, for groceries, for all of it. If that does not work for you this is not the right house. If it does, you get space and parking that does not exist in the Village at this price.

02 · The TermsWhat is included

Term is twelve months, fixed, starting November 1. Rent is $5,500 per month plus utilities. Hydro and internet go in the tenant’s name and are paid directly to the providers.

03 · House RulesOccupancy and conduct

• Maximum four occupants
• Every adult living in the house goes on the tenancy agreement, jointly and severally liable for the rent
• Pets considered on application. If a pet is approved, a pet damage deposit of half of one month’s rent is payable
• No smoking
• Fixed term of twelve months
• Security deposit of half of one month’s rent

04 · ApplyingHow to apply

Send an enquiry using the form on this page, or call directly. Include a short note about who would be living there and the dates you need. Viewings are arranged in person wherever possible, and by video where an applicant is out of town.

To apply you will be asked for a completed written application, previous landlord references, proof of employment or income, and consent to a credit check. There is no application fee and no placement fee charged to tenants.

Once an application is accepted, a security deposit of half of one month’s rent is payable within 15 days. The tenancy agreement is the standard BC Residential Tenancy Branch form.
